The Laws of Balance in Operation

Screaming Paris Hilton Sent Back To Jail

Paris Hilton was taken from a courtroom screaming and crying Friday seconds after a judge ordered her returned to jail to serve out her entire 45-day sentence for a parole violation in a reckless driving case.

"It's not right!" shouted the weeping Hilton. "Mom!" she called out to her mother in the audience.

Hilton, who was brought to court in handcuffs in a sheriff's car, came into the courtroom disheveled and weeping. Her hair was askew and she wore a gray fuzzy sweatshirt over slacks. She wore no makeup and she cried throughout the hearing.

Well, it is High Time. Noxious brat. Perhaps she will learn something.

Yup...

She will learn how to fry that judge big time after she gets out.

Perhaps she will learn that actions *do* have consequences. At least I hope so, because if she doesn't she's in for a very unhappy life despite money and celebrity status.

But how shall recover from the trauma of learning that Paris has appeared in public sans makeup?

Oh, the humanity!

That was supposed to be "shall we recover".

So much for my poise in posting comments on this blog.

She's just dang pitiful without make up and wailing..

A woman who lives not very far from me tried to petition the judge to let her serve Paris' sentence in her place, because Paris was a role model to young women and had more important things to do than sit in jail.

And people wonder why I drink so damned much.

In other news, Pretty Lady, you will be happy to know that we put down a deposit on a house with no fewer than FOUR mature trees *and* a big tangle of honeysuckle in the yard; that's not even counting the hardwood floors and Spanish arched doorways. I am a very happy Mitzibel :)

I've always considered Kathy Hilton more attractive than Paris. It's not that I consider Kathy attractive. She does seem to me to be a little less vacuous.

My only problem with the situation is that Paris is being treated more harshly than the average Jo(sephine) because of her celebrity, according to various news sources. That is as wrong as using celebrity to avoid punishment.

She should get the same treatment as "ordinary" criminals, no more, no less.

who cares about that kid, there are people her age getting killed in Iraq.

What is interesting is how Prince Andrew, at least I think it's him is in the military and was willing to go to Iraq. Now he is off to Afghanistan, due to his hot target status.

I'm not for this f'n war but at least he has a sense of proportion about being a rich celeb.

On the other hand, they apparently did have to face the consequences of their underaged drinking. The same cannot be said of the brood of the Truly Inconveniently Inventor of the Internet.

well Gore is not President.
And Gore's son was not drunk, just driving to fast on a empty, well almost empty highway late at night.

I have done this many times when I was in my 20's and have gotten some speeding tickets. So what, it's not the same as being a drunken ahole and getting busted for it.

My point was that even if Barbara and Jenna were little Mother Theresas, who would tell us about it? No one in the MSM. The 3 Monkey Republican media is so fed up with Bush 43, even they wouldn't come through for them.

And BTW, even though Al Jr. was only Veep, his kids got (and I'll bet still do) more kidglove treatment than even heirheads like Miss Hilton.

And Chelsea is even now being set up to continue the dynasty established by Daddy and Mommy.

Continuing along that line:

Why do Americans want royalty, anyway? The one truly legitimate war we fought was to get out from under kings. (I consider WWII necessary only because of our misadventure against Spain and our unfortunate involvement in the Great War.) The Adams are generally conceded to be the most mediocre of our early chief executives. JFK stole his election in 1960 while establishing his clan as the Premier American Dynasty. (And now we still have to deal with Teddy.) I don't think I need to comment on the Bushes. (But no, Jeb will never be prez, and neither will a Bush daughter. The line ends with W.)

I cannot imagine why people want to continue with Billy Jeff, Hillary Diane, and Chelsea Vicky. Let them live the rest of their pathetic lives in the obscurity they deserve.

And taking us back on topic: May the same be true of the Hiltons.

Hmmm, do I smell a Libertarian?

At least Clinton was smart, I did not like the man, but hell who likes politicians anyway.

The political and commercial morals of the United States are not merely food for laughter, they are an entire banquet.

Your comments on WW2 are so of base as this is not a political blog I don't want to use it as back and forth argument on the why fascism, and Hitler had to be stopped.
If you don't know the answerer to that than there is a problem.

I have know desire to 'worship' or put royalty on some kind of pedestal.

My point was that a person of privilege was/is willing to serve his country and doing so without asking for special treatment.

My point about WWII is that there would not have been a Hitler problem in Europe if there had not been such a crisis in Germany after WWI. There would not have been such a crisis after WWI (and the need for a scapegoat had the U.S. stayed out of that war.

Jeesh! This is not rocket science.

Although I will concede your main point.

If the US stayed out of WW1 there would not had been a Hitler.

Well that's an interesting point but the problem is that WW1 was going to happen despite the US.

Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71 was that France was left seething over the loss of Alsace-Lorraine to Germany, and Revanche was a major goal of the French. Nationalism posed a problem for Austria-Hungary and the Balkans, areas comprised of many conflicting national groups. The ardent Panslavism of Serbia and Russia's willingness to support its Slavic brother conflicted with Austria-Hungary's Pan-Germanism.

WW1 was about nationalism and alliances, that our country came into it is not a huge factor in the creation of Hitler or the Nazi party.
