Pretty Lady feels that she must clarify a certain Very Small Issue, for certain of her dear friends who seem to have misunderstood.
Astute readers will note that Pretty Lady is an affectionate person. Indeed, this snoogly tendency often gets Out Of Hand, and Over The Top. It threatens to tend into the area of a Compulsive Tic, her habit of scattering 'dears' and 'darlings' with profligate promiscuity.
Thus it is with a certain abashed tone that Pretty Lady must confess that every time she overuses a diminutive endearment, she is entirely serious. She means it. Sincerely and without irony or sarcasm of any kind.
Pretty Lady has no excuse for herself at all. It Came Of Itself, this unfortunate habit of liking people. No matter whether she agrees with their opinions or not, whether she finds them of notable intelligence or a bit of a fool, she is still genuinely fond of just about everyone.
Thus, it pains her when people respond to her tone with Hostile Suspicion, as though they were being made fun of. It pains her infinitely more deeply when other people acquire her tic without the impetus; when they, all unconscious, apply the snoogly diminutive only in such cases where they are not-so-covertly cutting the person down.
Pretty Lady can only helplessly say, darlings, that that is not what she meant, at all.

R U Making Fun Of ME?
Why would I wish to do that, dear?
Oh my! Oh dear! I was going to say something but.....I'll come back when it is clearly safe ground.

'Cause you like to torture the innocent, and condemn the blameless? I don't know.
Do you know anything about transformation (one object into another) ? 'Cause I had a very weird experience last night stemming from an inverted stone crystal - it came in a soft leather pouch, tied with strings... I opened it and out poured a grayish black stone, cut like a crytstal. Upon activation its properties became quite clear... focusing upon the stone while creating an image mentally - made the stone change into the visualization. It was rather shocking, but with what I've been experiencing lately... this was one of the tame ones.
Talk to you later Ms. Metaphysical Esoteric Lady, MyLove.
CF, it sounds to me like you've been taking too much acid. Do you have an independent witness to verify the stone's properties?
Being from a family that insisted on manners, including refering to those to whom you owe respect as "m'am and sir"...it confuses me when someone gets angry when I address them with said respect.
Of course...who am I to disagree...they know themselves better than I...perhaps they do indeed deserve no respect at all.
I will take you at your word. It would be easy to deny it or blindly accept it, but I have a feeling about this one.
It is too bad you feel beset for offering sincere simple love and respect, even intimacy. But, your rewards must be so much grander than the price that it couldn't be reconsidered could it?
I should stop in more. I love to read what I believe to be sincere, positive, feminine, and good. If I could just keep from talking. Bulls don't belong in china shops.
Can I get a witness!? Nope. No one but me, the stone and a few other people. Good luck ever finding someone to verify anything I say... either believe, or not - doesn't really matter. I'll keep sharing the story as it unfolds.
I don't use drugs, nor am I a psychotic or prone to hallucinations. I'm just a man with a rather interesting spirit, prone to flight and delight in the other worlds.
It only takes an open mind. What do I gain by providing false testimony? Do you think this world consists merely of what can been seen and felt by the five senses? Please, restore my faith and tell me that you have progressed beyond the physical limitations of this present world. Jesus
(Late because um, I forgot to respond when I saw it the first time.)

I, for one, completely appreciate your frequent usage of endearments, dear heart. I am much the same way myself in terms of liking most people, and am bored to death of the reflexive nastiness that has been the fad over the last decade or two; particularly since most people aren't any good at it.
m, perhaps the world will be less sad next decade
That sense of sadness is what I felt too.
It's a serious shame. Are we that disconnected now, that the simple words of kindness and caring and interest are viewed not just with suspicion, but outright hostility?
Yup.
Yuck.
Why I like to come here, and not go to the places that delight in nastiness.
Whatever for? Isn't life hard enough without deliberately adding to its unpleasantness?
Why I like to come here, and not go to the places that delight in nastiness.
k, although I could not agree with you more, I cannot help pointing out that you, like myself, are an occasional devotee of our own dear Bane. How to explain this? What is it about Bane that elevates sheer Wallowing in the Negative to an art form?
Pretty Lady,
I was thinking about this the other day. Could it be that in some wounded beasts one can see love? I go there to be at home, it is comforting. I see others there like that. Others, I think, are car crash rubber necking. Still others, I think, see something of the beauty of beasts who haven't lost their soul in the bloody struggles they have endured, perhaps even gained or regained their essence, if other things were sacrificed to get that.
But he is a good writer, too. And maybe we all just need a little salt beside sugar, to provide balance?
These things are all quite true, Doom. Pretty Lady also finds that occasionally, someone's case of Illusory Badness is so egregious that it clarifies, for her, the essential illusory nature of badness, and she comes miraculously to love that person, not in spite of his badness, but quite beyond it entirely.
Please, restore my faith and tell me that you have progressed beyond the physical limitations of this present world.
Oh, and CF, the above comments regarding Bane's illusory badness also exemplify the nature of Pretty Lady's non-physical, but genuine, experience.
