Oh, heavens, darling, I am sure it is not that bad. You are Dwelling On Things. "Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass."
Teasing is of the ego; love is of the soul. The soul can be harried but it cannot be destroyed.
Honeybun, are you propositioning me? This is not necessary. I have seen your blog, and you are none too disfigured. What is your problem? Is there a shortage of slightly intoxicated young women who are drawn to the mystique of the Itinerant Artist, About to Enter the Army? I cannot believe it. Are you picky? Tongue-tied? Shy?
I recommend purchasing a pack of Trojans and stashing them in an easily accessible, but not instantly available, place. One must create the circumstances, and the opportunity will arise.
"One-upsmanship"? Perish the thought! Your comments addressed the heartbreak, after all, dear Lady, while mine addressed, as you put it, the hard-on. *g*
As for "evil", well...*shrugs* The lady in question was young, and feeling her power, and I'll just leave it at that. You are so right: Teasing is of the ego, not of the soul, and my soul withstood the experience quite well.
rabbitslayer: Good grief, man! You need to take better care of yourself! No wonder you were despondent. A good roll in the hay might have obviated that whole decision to enlist. Of course, in the Army you are pretty certain to get laid; unfortunately, you will probably also have to pay for it. ;)
